Three Ways to Build Your Shadow Box
Every object requires a different level of depth and drama. We offer three distinct mounting styles to suit your aesthetic:
1. The Line-Wall Mount (The Classic)
- The Look: The interior sides of the frame are “lined” with the same matboard as the background.
- Best For: Flat objects with slight depth, such as jersey medals or coins.
- The Vibe: Clean, traditional, and seamless. It creates a subtle “window” effect that draws the eye directly to the center.
2. Acrylic Spacers (The Minimalist)
- The Look: We use nearly invisible clear spacers to keep the glass away from the object.
- Best For: Textiles, and thin memorabilia.
- The Vibe: Modern and airy. By removing the solid “walls” inside the frame, the focus remains entirely on the item itself, making it appear as though it’s floating in a shallow gallery box.
3. The Showcase (The Museum Experience)
- The Look: A deep, dramatic “box” construction, often using contrasting interior colors or specialized lighting.
- Best For: Large 3D objects like guitars, boxing gloves, boots, or antique tools.
- The Vibe: High-impact. This is for the “centerpiece” of your room. It provides maximum depth and protection, turning a physical object into a professional museum exhibit.
Specializing in Jersey Framing
A jersey is more than fabric—it’s a story of grit and victory. We don’t just “staple” jerseys into boxes. Our process includes:
- Hand-Stitching: We use archival tagging and stitching to secure the fabric without using harmful adhesives.
- Custom Inserts: We cut acid-free inserts to give the jersey a “filled,” professional shape so it never sags over time.
- UV Protection: Essential for sports memorabilia to prevent the signatures and fabric colors from fading in the sunlight.
